Can a physiotherapist help me?
A physiotherapist is a first contact practitioner, meaning they are trained in musculoskeletal diagnosis and have the knowledge to identify when your signs and symptoms signify a need for further investigation. If further investigation is required, we can also help you with suggestions for referrals to appropriate specialists, other allied health services, imaging and more.
If you’re in pain or have a joint, muscle or nerve injury, then a physiotherapist is your go-to allied health practitioner. Physio training covers a large breadth of conditions and body systems, for more in-depth information on whether a physio can help you, read our blog on physio training and the different conditions we treat.
