Rotator cuff pain that won't go away on its own

Whether it's a sharp pain reaching overhead, aching through the night, or weakness that's affecting your training — rotator cuff problems rarely resolve without the right treatment. Ignoring them often leads to longer recovery.

Pain reaching overhead or behind your back
Aching shoulder that wakes you at night
Weakness when lifting or throwing
Pain that limits your sport or training
A clicking or catching feeling in the shoulder
Stiffness after rest that takes time to ease

Targeted treatment that gets you back to full function

We don't just treat the pain — we find why it happened and fix the underlying cause so you can return to activity at the level you want, and stay there.

Step 01

Thorough Assessment

A comprehensive evaluation of your rotator cuff, shoulder mechanics, and movement patterns to understand exactly what's going on.

Step 02

Targeted Treatment

Hands-on physiotherapy combined with a structured exercise program designed around your specific injury and goals.

Step 03

Progressive Loading

A graded return-to-activity program built on exercise science principles — restoring strength, control and confidence in your shoulder.

Step 04

Return to Activity

Getting you back to the sport, training, or daily activities you love — not just pain-free, but performing at your best.

The person who'll actually be treating you

Matt, physiotherapist at KC Health Services

Matt — Director & Principal Physiotherapist

With 20 years in health, fitness and rehab — including 7 as a physiotherapist — plus time as physio for Football Australia in the A-League and Queensland Premier League, Matt's approach is simple: get you back to the things you love, not just out of pain.

Matt providing hands-on physiotherapy treatment at KC Health Services

Matt brings 20 years of experience in health, fitness and rehabilitation, including 7 years as a qualified physiotherapist — a combination that shapes how he treats every patient, not just what he knows.

He holds dual degrees in Physiotherapy and Exercise Science, along with additional certifications in fitness, massage therapy, and training and education. This broader background means treatment goes beyond symptom relief: Matt builds real strength and resilience so problems are less likely to return.

Matt's sporting background runs deep. Having grown up playing football, he went on to work as team physio for multiple local football clubs and provided physiotherapy coverage for Football Australia in both the A-League and Queensland Premier League — giving him extensive hands-on experience with running-related injuries, return-to-play protocols, and the demands of competitive sport.

Whether it's a shoulder that's stopping you from lifting your kids, a knee holding you back from your morning run, or recovery after surgery, Matt's approach is the same: understand what's really going on, treat it properly, and build a plan that gets you back to the life you want — with strength to spare.

Matt completes extensive further education every year, with recent focus areas including sports physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, shoulder pain and rehabilitation, men's health, and running-related injury and rehab.

Based at KC Health Services in Stafford Heights, Matt offers in-clinic physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, and rehabilitation, as well as home-visit physiotherapy across the surrounding area.

What your first appointment costs

We believe in being upfront about cost before you book, no matter how you're funding your care.

$135  Initial Consultation · up to 50 minutes

DVA, CTP & WorkCover

No out-of-pocket cost to you — we bill these directly.

Private Health Cover

We process your rebate on-site at the time of your appointment, so you only pay the gap.

Medicare (GP Chronic Disease Management)

We operate as a full-fee practice — you pay $135 at your appointment, and we process your Medicare rebate on the spot, refunded directly to your bank account.

NDIS Referrals

We welcome NDIS referrals and charge within NDIS price guidelines. Note: we're not a registered NDIA provider, so we can only see NDIS clients managed independently or through a plan manager.

Genuine financial hardship: If cost is a barrier, please get in touch — we offer bulk-billed appointments where needed. These run for 20 minutes rather than 50, which does limit what we can cover clinically in the session, but we don't want cost to stop you from getting care.
